BAS opened its first store in San José district, located at 669 Asamblea St. The store is open to the public from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., and customers will be able to enjoy the brand proposal, basic products for everyone with an excellent value for money, coupled with a shopping experience in a warm and cosy environment. The brand general manager, Alina Guevgeozian, thanked all those present and stressed the importance of this opening: “Taking the BAS proposal to the whole country is one of our main goals. So we are happy to disembark in a new district.” At present, BAS has 29 branches, including this new store in San José. Eighteen of these branches are located outside the metropolitan area, which contributes to expand the brand nationwide and generate employment in different locations in the interior of the country. In this new San José store seven residents of the city and surrounding areas are employed. This opening represents a major goal for BAS. Committed to constant growth and the construction of an inclusive culture, the brand continues to bet on new horizons, positioning itself as a leader in basic products designed in Uruguay and thus contributing to the construction of the country brand.
